Program Highlights

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management Programme in the Business Department emphasizes ethical recruitment, development, and management of people. Included topics within the Programme are communication and business decision-making, as well as orientation, training, and proper exit of employees. The curriculum is designed to produce honest, innovative and self-reliant human resource managers at various levels in an organization.

Application Procedures

Application fees for Ugandan nationals Ushs. 100,000 ugx, Ushs. 150,000 ugx for programmes with Pre-entry Exams. E.g; Bachelor of Law, Bachelow of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Master of Business Admnistration.

Application fees for International applicants USD50.

Program Length

Three years with maximum of five years to complete

Individual courses within the Programme address such topics as basic marketing, accounting, computing; business law, health and safety, behavioral and operational management, strategic planning, and interpersonal relations, among others

Entry requirements

In addition to the other University admission requirements for undergraduate Programmes, one of the following categories will allow admission to this course: • Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent and least 2 A’ level principle passes taken in the same sitting; • Relevant diploma, in a relevant field of study, from a recognized institution of higher learning; • A Pass in mature-age examination – such candidates must be Ugandan nationals of at least 25 years and have formal education. Those who are successful, in both the written and oral examination, are considered for admission

Career opportunities

Upon completing this degree, graduates will be equipped to work in local, national and international public and private institution human resource departments and become human resource managers.
